Should I join a sorority?

Im a community college student soon to transfer. Joining a sorority has always been an interest of mine. I can see how people benefit from nationwide friends, giving back, and feeling apart of something. However with the fear of possible hazing, costs, and affecting my schoolwork I'm not entirely sure what I should do... Suggestions?
