Of course, the answer is obvious, he likes you. Talk with him a little more about what's on his mind. It's ok to bring up the fact that you were aware he changed the subject when you questioned him. Try to make some plans for spending some time together before and while you are on holiday so you can get a better idea of what his intentions are.
