I need a guys view on this?

so theres this guy...a semi close but not tht close but still good friend that is supposedly in love with me. In the past months two others guys liked me and when i turned them down i must say i was a bit mean bec they wouldnt get the picture, but anyways..when were in shcool and we like sit donw when its time to get up he alwyas jumps to hes feet to hold my hands and help me get up...he comes to talk to me an dsit next to me on break and lunch..the other boys i mentioned never did this bec i practically cut them off before they even had the chance to do anything..he gets a bit protective whenevr he sees others boys like tease me and stuff and i just laugh or smile bec hes very funny when he does this kind of thing but i only see him as a friend..he asked me wht i thought about hes acting the past week which was getting more affectional and i just said idk,becasue i reallly dont know haha,then i saw a frustrated look on his eyes,if u were him what would u think, that i like him or what
