Have you tried contacting the Texas State Board of Education to see if anyone there can give you some ideas? I have not checked their website, but that might be a place to start. Also, be prepared to wend your way through a maze of people before you find someone who can help you. Have a brief explanation of your situation ready, along with your request for things such as "on the job training" in the clroom or alternate loans. I paid for my Master's by agreeing to teach for one year in my state. Perhaps Texas has a similar program. Good luck.
